Collembola, commonly known as springtails,is a group of arthropods with wide distribution and minimal body size.It is also called the three soil animal groups with nematodes and mites. It has unique taxonomic significance in hexapods and arthropods.Springtails participate in the carbon and nitrogen cycle and improve soil fertility through the feeding function in the soil ecosystem. And it can be used as an indicator of soil quality because it is sensitive to heavy metal pollutants and toxic chemicals.Sinella, belonging to Entomobryidae, the largest family of Collembola, has 91 species reported in the world and 46 species in China. The paper reviews the research history of the Collemnola class,The process of in-depth study of the taxonomic characteristics of springtail from external organ structure, chaetotaxy from body shape and color was recorded. And it introduces the development of the systematic classification of springtail to the modern classification system with 4 order. The method of collecting the springtails by the Berlese-Tullgren funnel baking method and the trematode method, and the manufacturing process of the slide specimens are described in detail. The paper describes the 6 new species of the genus Sinella collected from Yichang,Hubei,Huoshan,Anhui and Anji,Zhejiang Province. They are Sinella huangi sp.nov.Sinella duncani sp.nov.,Sinella yilingensis sp.nov.,Sinella anjiensis sp.nov.,Sinella baishanzuensis sp.nov.and Sinella huoshanica sp.nov.respectively.Among them, three species in Yichang,Hubei Province are cave species. At the same time, the the key of Sinella in China is given.
