Building information model(BIM)has been becoming a promising tool in the field of civil engineering to better facilitate collaborative design,virtual building and construction process management.The rapid development of BIM technology has brought noticeable changes to the construction industry.However,the most widely used three-dimensional(3D)modeling software in the BIM system lacks the material properties of geomaterials,posing a challenge to interacting with commonly used geotechnical numerical software(such as FLAC3 D,ANSYS,etc.),which is not conducive to the development of BIM technology in geotechnical engineering.Based on an in-depth understanding of the BIM concept and the detailed geotechnical engineering survey for a quarry slope,this thesis employs an ITASCAD software,developed by ITASCA,to build a 3D visualization model for a slope.The self-developed slope is then converted into a FLAC3 D numerical model to analyze its stability.Finally,the integration of geotechnical engineering survey,geotechnical design and analysis is realized.The main research contents are outlined as follows:(1)Based on successful implementation of the 3D geological modeling via BIM,the feasibility and reliability of a 3D geological model are summarized.To integrate geotechnical engineering survey information and geotechnical engineering data into a three-dimensional geological model by the present efficient modeling method.More intuitive,accurate and complete display of site geological conditions,realizing the application of BIM in geotechnical engineering survey.(2)Research on 3D geological modeling methods of complex geological bodies.Based on ITASCAD software,take a quarry slope as an example,establish a 3D geological model in the engineering area,including the realization of special geological structures such as lenses,missing strata,and faults.(3)With the powerful data interaction capabilities of the core modeling software,import the generated 3D geological model data into other BIM series of other software,realize the BIM collaborative work between multiple disciplines.Explore the coupling method of ITASCAD 3D geological modeling and FLAC3 D numerical simulation software,and import the 3D geological model into numerical simulation software.Attempt to realize the integrated application of survey and data collection management,geological three-dimensional digital modeling,analysis and design.(4)Based on the FLAC3 D numerical simulation software,the stability of the quarry slope is numerically analyzed,and the numerical simulation of the strength reduction method based on FLAC3 D is carried out to calculate the stress,strain,and displacement of the slope under both natural and heavy rain conditions.And safety factor,analyze the slope stability.
