Preparation And Performance Of PVC Hot-melt Adhesive Modified By Several Materials

Environmentally friendly hot-melt adhesive has gradually become the main theme of adhesive market.It's widely used in many fields of modern industry,such as construction,textiles,footwear,packaging and so on.In this paper,PVC which has the same ingredient with PVC-U pipe as the matrix of materials was modified by using of EVA,TPU,CPE,PET,Petroleum Resin,and Terpene Resin.PVC environmentally friendly modified hot-melt adhesive was prepared,which is mainly applied to the edge banding of Large-diameter PVC-U pipe.This article started from the following several aspects:The first system was carried out based on these five types of grouping forms:PVC/EVA,PVC/EVA/CPE,PVC/EVA/HDPE,PVC/EVA/CPE/C5 Petroleum Resin,PVC/EVA/HDPE/C5 Petroleum Resin,PVC/EVA/CPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin and PVC/EVA/HDPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin.Mix Temperature:135 ?,Revolution:30 rpm,Time:5 min.By analyzing the Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of the samples,the conclusions were as follows:PVC/EVA=22:78(Mass Ratio),the mixer's comprehensive performance was much better;In the five components system of PVC/EVA/CPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin,when CPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin=10:4:6(Mass Ratio),the sample was shown better performance,the tensile strength can reach 7.01 MPa,the elongation can reach 843%,and the shear strength can reach 1.69MPa at 110 ?;In the five components system of PVC/EVA/HDPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin,when HDPE/C5 Petroleum Resin/Terpene Resin=8:6:4(Mass Ratio),the sample had the best performance,the tensile strength can reach 7.76MPa,the elongation can reach 724%,and the shear strength can reach 1.78MPa at 110?.The second system was carried out based on these types of grouping forms:PVC/TPU,PVC/TPU/PET,and PVC/TPU/PET/C5 Petroleum Resin.Mix Temperature:130 ?,Revolution:30 rpm,Time:5 min.By analyzing the mechanical properties and Micro-structure of the samples,the conclusions were as follows:PVC/TPU=24:76(Mass Ratio),the mixer had better viscosity and elasticity;In the four components system of PVC/TPU/PET/C5 Petroleum Resin,when PET/C5 Petroleum Resin=4:6,the product had the best comprehensive performance,the tensile strength can reach 13.44MPa,the elongation can reach 365%,and the shear strength can reach 4.25MPa at 110?.By analyzing the Mechanical Properties and Micro-structure of the two systems,we can see that the effect of TPU modified PVC is better than EVA.In addition,PET in the second system has relatively greater tenacity,so it is a kind of good toughening modifier for PVC/TPU.In conclusion,we can prepare products with excellent performance which can satisfy the requirement of industrial production through the method of physical blending modification meanwhile reducing costs.
