| Stainless steel cut wire shot was a commonly used kind of metal abrasives for blast cleaning and shot peening.Recently,it is generally used to treat the workpiece of stainless steel,titanium alloy,Al-Mg alloy,copper-zinc alloy and others.It can make the surface of the workpiece uniform roughness and cleanliness,so that the surface deformation can be introduced into the residual stress to improve the fat:igue resistance and obtain a certain shape.In this paper,microhardness,metallographic microscope,XRD was used to test hardness,microstructure and phase composition of 202,304,410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot;the solid solution treatment on 304/1.0mm stainless steel cut wire shot used in temperature resistance furnace;with periodic infiltration corrosion test box of stainless steel cut wire shot the corrosion resistance test;simulation of different materials and different grades of stainless steel cut wire shot’s surface shot blasting cleaning process,using the Ervin test machine,blasting 304 stainless steel strips and 2024 strips aluminum alloy;the changes of surface morphology using scanning test,determination of specimen surface roughness with stylus profilometer,instrument after scanning throwing specimen surface contour with white light interference;in Ervin test machine,the cutting wear failure process was simulated with different specifications,materials of stainless steel cut wire shot.The wear failure morphology of the stainless steel cut wire shot was observed by scanning electron microscope.The Ervin cycle life of the stainless steel cut wire shot was calculated by the area method.The results show that 202,304 stainless steel cut wire shot’s hardness is 441-524HV,410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot’s hardness is 272-347HV;202,304 stainless steel cut wire shot has austenite structure,304 stainless steel cut wire shot has ferrite structure,410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot with ferrite structure;304 stainless steel cut wire shot after solution treatment groups all into equiaxed austenite grain;304 stainless steel cut wire shot corrosion resistance is better than that of 410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot;in same material,the smaller-specification stainless steel cut wire shot blasting 304 stainless steel,2024 aluminum alloy strips,has higher efficiency reached 100%coverage of specimens’ surface with fewer dent number,shallower single dent depth and smaller surface roughness;the same specifications,202,304 stainless steel cut wire shot by shot blast cleaning efficiency is higher than 410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot,blasting 304 stainless steel strips for difference materials is more obvious,the 202,304 stainless steel cut wire shot blasting 304 stainless steel strips after the specimen surface roughness is higher than 410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot impacting,blasting 2024 aluminum alloy strips after the specimen surface roughness with 410 430 stainless steel cut wire shot impacting no difference;with a same stainless steel cut wire shot on the 2024 aluminum alloy strips shot blasting cleaning efficiency is higher than that of samples of 304 stainless steel strips shot blast cleaning efficiency;after reached 100%coverage,the surface roughness of aluminum alloy strips is higher;the wear process of stainless steel cut wire shot can be divided into deform-rounding stage,stable wear stage,accelerated wear stage and severe wear stage four stages,the main wear failure forms the surface spalling,macro crack,heart shedding and fracture;the same specifications,the wear failure process of 410,430 stainless steel cut wire shot is longer,and the Ervin cycle life is significantly higher than that of 202 and 304 stainless steel cut wire shot.When the composition and material are the same,the cycle life of small size stainless steel cut wire shot is slightly higher than that of large size stainless steel cut wire shot. |
