Along with the rapid development of economy and the improvement of living standards,the production of municipal solid waste(MSW)is increasing.The attendant is the problems of environmental pollution and shortage of resources.They are serious threats to the city's sustainable development and the lives of the residents.The unregulated disposal and arbitrarily discarded of MSW not only causing serious environmental problems,but also endanger the lives of residents.In our country,however,the MSW treatment technology is simple and the centralized treatment rate is low.So the technology of solid waste disposal needs to reform and explore urgently.In recent years,MSW pyrolysis and gasification technology has aroused widespread concern.It can adapt to the composition and characteristics of MSW in China and recovery energy and resources in the form of a liquid or gas oil from waste.Harmless treatment and resource utilization could be obtained by MSW pyrolysis and gasification technology.MSW pyrolysis and gasification technology has a broad application prospect and it is the development trend and the direction of waste treatment in the future.In this paper,MSW pyrolysis and gasification technology was used in treatment of MSW,and it was a reference for the future waste disposal.The experimental apparatus used in this study was self-designed external thermal catalytic gasification installation.The changes of gas production rate,synthesis gas compositions and tar yield were investigated when oxidant and catalysator were changed at 600?750?.As the experimental results showed,when temperature was 600?750 ?,gas production rate and calorific value were increasing with the raise of temperature,but tar yield was decreased with the increase of temperature.The main composition of pyrolysis gas were H2?CO?CH4?CO2 and CmHn.The raise of temperature was beneficial to the generation of H2 and CO.However,the raise of temperature could restrain the generation of CmHn and CO2.The content of CH4 increased first and then decreased with the up of temperature.The application of oxidants and modified catalysators were propitious to the increase of synthesis gas yield and the generation of combustible gas(H2 and CO).Nickel based catalyst has good effect on upgrading of synthesis gas.K and Ni in nickel based catalyst have perfect catalytic activity.
