As the main transportation tool for oil and natural gas,pipelines have the advantages of large flow,deep buried underground,no land area,long distance energy transportation and long time service.It is the main energy transport tool in the world.As an existing equipment,the energy transmission pipeline will cause damage to pipelines due to corrosion and crust plate movement and extrusion,resulting in large energy leakage.In order to solve the problem of pipeline deformation,a method of pipeline geometric deformation detection based on laser contour extraction and detection technology is proposed.The pipeline deformation detection based on laser image has its outstanding advantages in safe operation and detection efficiency.According to the characteristics of high brightness,high monochromatic and high set neutrality,the laser ring has been gradually applied to the nondestructive testing of oil and gas pipelines,which is a new nondestructive testing technique.Aiming at the problems involved in the detection of new pipeline deformation,this paper proposes a pipeline deformation detection method based on laser imaging technology.The theory of pipeline deformation detection and laser imaging theory are studied.The relationship between the characteristics of the laser ring and the pipeline deformation is obtained.The pipeline detector is equipped with a laser emitter and an image pickup unit to enter the pipeline.During the inspection process,the axis of the oil and gas pipeline,the laser emitter,and the camera must be kept concentric.The detector advances at a constant speed,and the image capturing unit continuously photographs,and the geometrical characteristics of the inner wall of the pipeline are collected at equal time intervals.The wavelet transform is used to transform the image and the canny operator is used to extract the edge contours of the image.The radial difference method based on the least squares method is used to analyze the geometric features of the image,correct the error,quantify the error,and obtain the pipeline.Information such as the location and size of geometric deformations.According to the laser detection technology,an experimental platform was set up,and the pipe deformation detection experiment and error analysis and correction were performed respectively.The results show that the least squares based radial difference method can effectively analyze and process the geometric deformation characteristics of the pipeline.The detection method circumvents the interference of other external factors and effectively utilizes the advantages of the laser ring to the pipeline.Geometric deformation detection analysis provides a new detection technology for the nondestructive testing technology.
