Polystyrene-phenolic adsorption resin is a kind of polymer with polycondensation and separation of organic matter.Phenol formaldehyde resin has high content of phenolic hydroxyl and can be combined with hydrogen bond receptor.It has an important application prospect for the adsorption of hydrogen-bond receptor compounds.A high hydrophilic polystyrene phenolic adsorption resin with polystyrene as the skeleton was synthesized and its adsorption properties were determined.1.Polystyrene phenolic formaldehyde resin was prepared with chloromethylation polystyrene resin and with naphthol,S-naphthol respectively.After the post crosslinking reaction with methal,the highly crosslinked phenolic hydroxyl modified PS-N resin and PS-SD resin were obtained.The structure and properties of three resins were determined by FTIR and specific surface analysis.The results showed that the synthesized PS-N resin and PS-SD resin had stable structure,high specific surface and good hydrophilicity.2.The adsorption properties of caffeine and theophylline in aqueous solution were studied on raw material resin and PS-N resin.The study of static adsorption showed no apparent adsorption for caffeine and theophylline on raw material resin.The adsorption of caffeine and theophylline on PS-N resin was exothermic adsorption.The adsorption capacity of phenol at the equilibrium concentration of 500 mg/L was the highest at 288 K,which was 79.55 mg/g and 102.85 mg/g respectively.In the study of dynamic adsorption,the dynamic performance of PS-N resin was good,and the amount of caffeine and theophylline and the amount of adsorption reached 94.34 mg/g and 149.97 mg/g respectively.The elution rate is 92.51%and 95.70%respectively when the anhydrous ethanol as a eluant,no trailing phenomenon.The resin is easy to regenerate and can be reused.3.The adsorption properties of PS-SD resin and PS-N resin on phenol were is found that the adsorption capacity of PS-SD resin to phenol is greater than that of PS-N resin,because PS-SD resin has higher specific surface area,which makes the structure more binding sites with phenol.The static adsorption capacity of PS-SD resin and PS-N resin to phenol was 90.35 mg/g and 76.05 mg/g respectively,and the saturated adsorption capacity reached 125.95 mg/g and 90.8 mg/g respectively.The results show that the adsorption property of PS-SD resin is obviously better than that of PS-N resin,with large adsorption capacity and high desorption rate.
