The converter slag plant of Hubei Dajiang Environmental Technology co.,Ltd,which has these questions:poor water quality of production cycle,coarse grinding,unreasonable pharmaceutical system,insufficient flotation time,and so on.In order to resolve these questions,This paper takes the converter slag of the plant as the research object,with the purpose of improving the ore dressing index and providing the guidance basis for the industrial production.And the paper take measures in the way of process mineralogy study,laboratory small-scale experimental study and industrial application research.The process mineralogy study shows that:copper is the main recovery element in converter slag,the grade of copper is 4.19%.The main impurity components are Fe and SiO2.Copper exists in the form of metal copper mainly,iron is distributed evenly in magnetic iron and iron silicate.Copper minerals are mainly metal copper,followed by copper sulfur(mainly chalcopyrite),impurity minerals are magnetite,olivine and vitreous,and a small amount of calcium ferrate and quartz.The converter slag has the characteristics of fine grain embedding,most copper minerals are irregular and have a complex relationship with the impurity minerals,and the fine particles occupy a large proportion,which affects the dissociation of copper ores,so it is necessary to strengthen the grinding operation to get the proper degree of dissociation.The laboratory experimental study shows that the best grinding fineness and reagent conditions are obtained by using the grinding floatation process.First step grinding fineness-0.074mm is 78.5%,Collector L-35 dosage is 90g/t,terpineol 65g/t,second step grinding fineness-0.045 mm is 95.4%,Collector L-35 dosage is 45g/t,terpineol 20g/t;The closed circuit test adopts the technological process of one stage quick flotation and one coarse one fine three sweep middle ore centralized return process,which can obtain a good dressing index with concentrate grade of 30.81%,concentrate recovery of 95.22%and tailings grade of 0.22%.The industrial application research shows that the grinding fineness and tailings index can be improved obviously by reducing the processing capacity of grinding table to 25t/h and adjusting the relevant parameters of hydrocyclone and the field medicament system.Through the introduction of vacuum belt filter to dewatering the copper concentrate slurry,the moisture content and turbidity of circulating water can be effectively reduced,and the field water quality can be improved significantly.While the production index is stable,the indirect production cost is also reduced.Through the introduction of jet flotation machine,the cleaning time is prolonged and the field technological process is optimized.After adopting the new technological process,the copper content of tailings is reduced to below 0.20%under the premise that the copper content of concentrate is higher than 28%,it earns 5.22 million yuan per year,the expected effect is achieved.
