In order to improve the efficiency of tire design,solve the repetitive work in the tire design process and improve the design efficiency of the staff,this paper proposed a method for quickly parametric design and modeling the tire contour structures and groove structures based on the analysis and research of the tire structure and its pattern characteristic,which is developed by using the secondary development technology of CATIA.The specific research includes:(1)The parameterized design system of tire contour is established by analyzing the structure of radial tire and bias tire.First of all,the main parameters of the tire profile are being analyzed,main design parameters of the tire profile are determined based on the design formulas of the outer contour.Then,the design method of the tire inner contour is determined based on the optimal internal contour design theory.Finally,complete the system of the parametric design of the tire profile based on the program framework.(2)Analyze the annotation rules of different contours.Obtain several arcs of the tire contours and classify them based on the CATIA secondary development technology,then make reasonable labeling for the classified arcs and make the secondary layout to prevent the mistake of the primary annotation.(3)Firstly,the main parameters of the design of the tire groove are analyzed,and the forward process of modeling the three-dimensional pattern is analyzed.The design of the groove is divided into two parts as the automatic generation part of the groove and the intersection processing part between the grooves.Then design a function to solve the problem according to the two parts.And finally,analyze the automatic assembly problems with the pattern pitch to design the tire pitch automatic assembly technology.(4)Modeling the tire model for Finite element analysis according to the ABAQUS modeling method,through the analyze of the structure of the tire cross-section and the different rubber materials of the tire as well as the special materials of the tire cord,especially the embedding method for the rubber and the tire cord.Then analyze the 2D tire inflation performance and static stress performance of three-dimensional tire based the tire model.
