| With the rapid development of tire industry, tire product updates faster and faster, and competition of tire industry is becoming more and more intensified. In order to improve the market competitiveness of enterprises, major tire companies are increasing investment on research and development. It requires enterprises to improve the efficiency of research and development of products, and reduces development costs of products. Through secondary development technology of3D software, enterprises develop new functional modules on the basis of the existing software functionality, and it can achieve the purpose to develop new products quickly.This paper is to improve the efficiency of the tire pattern design as the goal. CATIA software secondary development is based on the CAA-RADE as a development tool, Microsoft Visual Studio2005as a development environment, and the development of parametric design system for tire pattern based on user define feature is achieved.Firstly, based on the key issues in the design of tire pattern and the realization of the principle of tire pattern mapping, a method of tire pattern design is put forward. Secondly, through the research of the modeling technology based on feature, the user defined feature model of tire pattern is proposed, and CATIA secondary development technology is studied. Then, on the basis of analyzing the user demand and key problems of system, the overall structure of the system and module division is presented. Finally, the design idea of system module and the realization of the principle of system are analyzed in-depth, and the configuration of system operation environment and design example are introduced.The method of parametric design for tire pattern based on user define feature, which is put forward from the actual demand of tire enterprise, can meet the requirement of enterprises to design tire pattern rapidly, and the design thought and method have great reference and guidance significance to the further study in the future. |
