As a resource-intensive industry,total carbon emissions of iron/steel industry in China is huge.Carbon Capture,Utilization and Storage(CCUS)as a promising technology for large-scale CO2 emission reduction,has aroused the growing concern globally.When captured CO2 can be translated through pipeline to oilfield for enhaning oil recovery to improve oil recovery rate while achieving effective storage,the economics of CCUS project can be siginificantly improved.Therefore,CCUS of iron/steel industry combined with oil recovery utilization(CCUS-EOR)is very important to energy-saving and emission reduction of iron/steel industry and the development of CCUS technology itself.This paper systematically analyzes the technology adopted in the CCUS whole process and its applicable conditions,constructs a CCUS whole process universal optimization model suitable for multi-scenarios.And combined with the additional CO2 caused by each process in the model,a CCUS whole process optimization model of iron/steel industry based on resource environment was established.Finally,this paper designs the scenarios from the aspects of economy,technology and policy,and analyzes the economy of the CCUS-EOR project of the iron/steel industry in different application scenarios through the calculation of economic evaluation indexes such as internal rate of return.Case study chooses the carbon dioxide gas source produced by the long process of typical steel plant in China.Through the model,the optimal carbon dioxide capture method,capacity expansion,transportation status and other parameters are calculated and the investment cost,operating cost and internal rate of return of the CCUS-EOR project are calculated.The results show:(1)Through the construction of C02 capture devices,CO2 emissions can be reduced;using captured CO2 to enhance oil recovery,will achieve a win-win situation of environmental protection and economic benefits.(2)The investment of CCUS project is huge,and the revenue is affected by the international oil price.Based on the current capture technology,without the support of the state or through the market mechanism,the economy of the project can hardly be guaranteed.(3)Other key factors affecting the CCUS-EOR project in the steel plant are the oil displacement ratio and operating costs.The economy of the CCUS-EOR project can be significantly improved by increasing the oil displacement ratio and reducing operating costs.The results show that the CCUS whole process optimization model can provide strong decision support for the planning of CCUS-EOR system.
