The Export Of Chinese Steel Wire Products Industry,Economic Growth And Carbon Emissions

With the rapid development of global industrialization,the problem of global warming which caused by the increasing of carbon emissions has become the important factor of restricting the economic development of human society.Following a series of signed conventional documents,low carbon economy becomes important power source of the emerging market countries,who strive to promote economic growth and sustainable development.When China surpassed Japan as the world’s second-largest economy,in the same time it also became the world’s largest carbon emitter.Therefore,the major issue should be urgently solved by Chinese government is reducing the carbon emission and find the source of the carbon emission under the condition of keeping economic growth.This thesis is based on the perspective of space and using the method of new economic geography,choosing 29 provincial economic unit as the research object,and then putting the export and the spatial spillover effect of the economic growth into the modified international trade environment effect model,adopting the space and time fixed effects of SDM to implement the further research of influence of carbon emissions which caused by the steel wire products export and economic growth.The result indicates the export of the steel wire and economic growth trigger the increasing of the carbon emission in china province;however the mechanism is totally different.The export of the steel wire put direct effects to promote the region’s carbon emissions,at the same time,it will also promote the carbon emissions of its neighbor regions by indirect effect,as well as it will enlarge the influence of the carbon emissions through feedback effects in its own area.Economic growth will also promote the region’s carbon emissions by direct effects,but it will inhibit the carbon emissions of its neighbor regions through indirect effects and it will reduce the carbon emissions in its own area through the feedback effect.Due to the negative indirect effect of economic growth is far less than the direct effect of it,ultimately the export of the steel wire and economic growth are showed significantly in promoting the level of carbon emissions.At the same time,the increased level of carbon emissions neighbor area by spatial spillover effect plays an important role in promoting of its carbon emissions level.Based on the conclusion of this article,finally it puts forward the regulation of the market mechanism,region economy coordinated development,innovation and emissions reduction,perfect the government assessment mechanism,etc.,according to the export of steel wire and economic growth effects the region carbon emission and different mechanism.
