With the continuous development of the steel industry,continuous casting technology is also increasingly mature,but due to the complexity of the continuous casting environment and the continuous casting process,the cracks on the surface of the billet are still very common.Prevention of continuous casting slab surface cracks,it not only can improve the continuous casting production efficiency but also improve the quality of subsequent processing products.Through a large number of literature inquiries found that the existing slab surface crack forecasting system remains to be improved.By summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of various methods,this paper presents a novel method for on-line prediction of surface cracks in continuous casting slabs based on expert system.Since its inception,artificial intelligence has been widely concerned and applied by all walks of life.As the most important part of artificial intelligence field,expert system is more and more widely used.In this paper,expert system is applied to the prediction of slab surface cracks to achieve the purpose of reducing the surface slab cracks and ensuring the product quality.The program uses ultrasonic flaw detection,magnetic particle inspection and other technologies on the actual billet sample offline detection and analysis to identify different cracks occur at the corresponding continuous casting machine mold four-wall infrared thermography,infrared thermography analysis and analysis Processing,extracting the characteristic data of the image,establishing the crack forecast expert system,establishing the database,developing the reasoning mechanism,using Visual C# language and Matlab mixed programming as the software development tool,the database is established by SQL Server 2008.The simulation results show that the system has a high forecast accuracy,which can effectively reduce the occurrence probability of surface cracks in the continuous casting process,which lays the foundation for the online application.
