As people's demand for surface accuracy of products continues to increase,fixed abrasive grinding technology as an important method for obtaining precision and ultra-precision machining surfaces has increasingly attracted people's attention.Therefore,t he research has very important significance.This paper first studied the processing mechanism of fixed abrasive grinding technology,starting from the angle of abrasive particles,the force and distribution of the abrasive particles were analyzed,and the contact state and relative motion state between the abrasive particles and the workpiece were studied,and the factors affecting the grinding trajectory were analyzed and the conclusion was that the eccentricity of the workpiece affected the range of the grinding trajectory and the trajectory distribution density.Then based on the processing mechanism of fixed abrasive grinding,a theoretical prediction model of the material removal rate and surface roughness of the workpiece to be machined was established on the scale of abrasive particles,the material removal rate and surface roughness of the workpiece were numerically simulated,and the trend of material removal rate and surface roughness along with each parameter were analyzed;basing on the theoretical basis of the uniform wear of the abrasive tool,the surface groove structure of the fixed abrasive grinding tool was designed,and using the finite element analysis software,the groove size was optimized.Finally,the optimized grinding tools were manufactured,and the grinding experiments were carried out,comparing the experiment results with the numerical simulation results,it is concluded that the optimized design of the abrasive tool can effectively improve the surface quality of the workpiece and verify the correctness of the established theoretical prediction model,i.e.,the material removal rate is proportional to the third half of the abrasive grain size,grinding machine spindle speed,and grinding pressure,and inversely proportional to one half of the abrasive concentration in the grinding tool;the surface roughness increases with the increase of the abrasive grain size,and the surface roughness is proportional to the grinding pressure and inversely proportional to the abrasive particle concentration in the abrasive tool,but the spindle speed of the grinding machine has no effect on the surface roughness.Based on the results of this study,a specific workpiece of the fixed abrasive grinding can process planning to improve the grinding efficiency and grinding quality.
