As the popular drink welcomed by the entire China,tea has a long history in China and is closely related to people’s life.Tea culture in China contains rich cultural heritage and spiritual connotation.Due to unique oriental characteristics,tea culture has attracted much attention and consistently provides inspiration for design.Tea packaging can store,protect tea and is also regarded as one important way to pass down tea culture from generation to generation.At the same time,cultural connotation and aesthetic value contained in tea packaging will not only enhance value added but also promote sales.The influence of tea culture on tea packaging lies in many ways.Moreover,with the renewal of the design conception,tea packaging which is a kind of application medium can in turn enrich tea culture.The study on the relationship between tea culture and tea packaging is of significance to the framework of tea culture and the improvement of tea packaging system design.This thesis aims to study on Tea packaging design under the influence of tea culture in China.At first,it gives a brief introduction to tea culture and tea packaging,aesthetically sums up aesthetic characteristics from according to the cultural traits and spiritual concept of tea culture,and then demonstrates inseparable relationship with two parts: one is the expression and application of tea culture in tea packaging design;the other is the development and influence of tea packaging design on tea culture.Both parts provide helpful suggestions for the development of tea packaging design.Meanwhile,this design practice aims to present tea packaging design for a self-made brand The Journey to The Tea.Combine tea culture connotation with modern design ideas,create tea packaging design which conforms to the modern aesthetic characteristics and is equipped with national features,the author hope that the tea packaging design in this design practice can show the unique charm of tea packaging and also offer customers a better sense and emotional experience.
