Based on the establishment of three-dimensional model,porous media model is introduced,and the flow field distribution and methanation process in radial flow reactor were numerically simulated by FLUENT software.First,the experimental process,size model and component selection were determined,and the setup of the radial flow reactor was completed.The voidage of the catalyst bed and the pressure distribution at different gas velocity were measured.Then,the cold state simulation of?type centrifugal flow,?type centripetal flow,Z type centrifugal flow and Z type radial flow radial flow reactor was carried out.The velocity field and pressure field distribution in the reactor were extracted,and the pressure difference between the bypass flow channel and the collector flow channel was evenly analyzed,and the optimal reactor configuration was obtained.Meanwhile,based on the flow field simulation,the methanation kinetic equation was added to simulate the thermal state.The temperature field and the mass fraction of CO and CH4 in the reactor were extracted.The influence of inlet temperature,inlet gas velocity and H2/CO on the methane yield was investigated by orthogonal experiment.Finally,on the basis of flow field analysis,the structural strength analysis of the radial flow reactor was carried out by using the"fluid solid coupling"method.The results show that:?1?during the cold test,the pressure drop between the flow channel and the diverting channel increases with the increase of the operating gas velocity.?2?based on the completion of the experimental setup,the feasibility of the flow field simulation in the radial flow reactor was verified.The error between the simulated value and the literature value is within 3%,which is in good agreement.By normalizing the pressure difference between the flow channels,comparing the deviation value and the trend of the curve,we can get that the distribution uniformity of the centrifugal flow radial flow reactor is better than that of the centripetal flow,and the flow field distribution of the?type centrifugal radial flow reactor is the most homogeneous.?3?Through the analysis of axial and radial temperature distribution,CO mass fraction and CH4 mass fraction cloud chart and data,the diffusion process of temperature in the catalyst bed and the generation rule of carbon monoxide and methane were obtained.Using the orthogonal experimental method,it was found that the inlet gas velocity had the greatest influence on the methanation process,and it was the most important factor.When the inlet temperature is 553 K,the inlet gas velocity is 15 m.s-1,and the H2/CO is 3.5,the methanation yield is the highest.?4?The maximum and minimum deformation degree and the uniformity of stress distribution in the reactor were obtained through fluid solid coupling analysis.
