With the further adjustment and advancement of the industrial structure of the city, the construction industry will eventually surpass other industries and take the first place in the total energy consumption of the society. Therefore, the research of building energy conservation is of great significance.Expandable polystyrene foam is widely used in the field of building insulation due to its excellent thermal insulation properties. The expandable polystyrene foam is highly inflammable and produces a large amount of toxic smoke during combustion, which limits the popularization and application of expandable polystyrene.Studies have shown that adding all carbon molecular graphite to expandable polystyrene can improve its flame retardancy. In this paper, the influence of initiator content, nucleating agent content and graphite content on polymerization behavior is systematically studied in order to solve the problem of poor dispersion, low molecular weight and instability of suspension polymerization in the process of graphite polystyrene composite spherulite polymerization. In this paper,a two step impregnation method was used to prepare the graphite-polystyrene composite pellets. On this basis,graphite-polystyrene foam plates with different graphite content were prepared. The research work in this paper provides a theoretical basis for the industrialization of flame-retardant graphite and polystyrene. In this paper, the influence of initiators on the molecular weight and thermal properties of graphite polystyrene composite pellets was studied by controlling the amount of initiators in the graphite polystyrene composite sphere suspension polymerization system. The results show that when the initiator is 2.7%,the weight average molecular weight of graphite polystyrene composite spherules is 1.61×105,which is 1.33×105 higher than that of commercial BASF spherules. In this paper,a new nucleating agent was used to investigate the effect of nucleating agent on the stability of graphite polystyrene suspension polymerization in the process of easy aggregation during the suspension polymerization of graphite polystyrene composite pellets. When the nucleating agent is 0.44%-1.11%,the proportion of 0.78mm-1.18 mm in the graphite polystyrene composite pellets is more than 82.33%,and the stable preparation of uniform graphite polystyrene pellets is achieved.Adding nucleating agent to polymerization process is beneficial to increase molecular weight. In this paper, the effect of graphite on the suspension polymerization is discussed. The increase of graphite quantity is unfavorable to the suspension polymerization, and the decrease of graphite amount has a certain degree of increase on the molecular weight of polystyrene.A new type of polymerizable phosphorous flame retardant was synthesized by molecular design principle. The synthesis process of phosphorus flame retardant was optimized. The structure of polymerizable phosphorus flame retardant was characterized by infrared(FT-IR),nuclear magnetic hydrogen spectrum(1H NMR),carbon spectrum(13C NMR)and phosphorus spectrum(31P NMR).To the target product. The two step impregnation process was used to prepare the graphite polystyrene composite spherules, and the impregnation technology was optimized. On this basis, graphite polystyrene foam boards with different graphite contents were prepared and tested for their flame retardancy. When the graphite content is 8%,the self extinguishing time is 1 second, and there is no smoldering filter paper in the combustion process. The flame retardant effect reaches V-0 level.
