Cyclone separator is the device that uses the centrifugal force generated by the swirling flow to separate gas and solid,which is widely applied in the process of petroleum,chemical,power and other industry.Because of the instability of swirling flow in the cyclone,there exist an exciting force to produce device vibration.The instability is shown,on the one hand,the center of the swirling flow swing around the geometric center,on the other hand,the particles flowing nonuniform downward.In some processes of high temperature,high pressure and high particle concentration,the vibration sometimes will cause the shell fatigue fracture of the cyclone,which results in unscheduled shutdown accidents.For example,these kinds of accidents sometimes happened in the cyclone of FCCU.So,it is necessary to carry out the research of the swirl-induced vibration by the gas-solid flow in the cyclone.The paper studied the cyclone vibration induced by gas-solid swirling flow in the cyclone by means of experiment.It is focus on the inlet gas velocity,inlet particle concentration,and the support structure effecting on the vibration of the cyclone.The parameters measured in the experiment include the real pressure and the displacement.The relationship between flow parameters,supporting structure,fluctuation pressure with vibration displacement is analyzed by time mean,standard deviation and power as MSA.And natural frequency of the cyclone is calculated and also the response of the mechanical vibration.The regular pattern of cyclone separator vibration effected by flow parameter and support parameter is obtained.The results of the experiments show that low inlet gas velocity and low inlet particle concentration produce small exciting force.The exciting force increases with increasing of inlet gas velocity and low inlet particle concentration.Increasing natural frequency of the cyclone by changing support structure can reduce vibration response.The reason of the fatigue fracture accident caused by induced vibration is analyzed.For operating parameters are determined by process requirements and are unchangeable,changing support structure of cyclone separator increasing natural frequency is an effective way of reducing vibration.The results are helpful for design and application of cyclone.
