The Research On The Impact Of Foreign Trade On Environment In Hebei Province

As the foreign trade becomes more and more frequently,the process of trade liberalization is accelerating.At the same time,the issue of trade and environment has attracted more and more attention,and the impact of foreign trade on environment is one of the most important problems.Foreign trade is the driving force of economic development in China,however,the economic development model and neglect of environmental costs have brought benefits to China while increased environmental pressure.The volume of foreign trade in Hebei province is not so great,but the rate of growth is very fast.At the same time,the environmental problems in Hebei province are very serious.In this case,the search on the impact of foreign trade on environment in Hebei province is meaningful for the development of foreign trade and environment.The impact of foreign trade on environment can’t be simply considered to be positive or negative,there are variety of effects between them based on studys at home and abroad.People usually use the environmental effect of foreign trade to study the problem and depose it into scale,composition and technique.This article also uses the three effects to study.This article analyzes the scale,composition and form of foreign trade in Hebei province while analyzes the environmental quality and the changes of pollutants.Then in order to understand the impact of foreign trade on environment,it continues empirical researches.The empirical researches include four parts.First,it uses time-series mode from 1984 to 2014 to study the total effect,and get the conclusion that foreign trade is harmful to environment.Sencond,it continues to analyze the scale effect,the composition effect and the technical effect,and finally the results show that the technical effect of foreign trade in Hebei province is beneficial to environment,while the effects of scale and composition are negative.Finally,on the basis of conclusions,it makes suggestions to promote the foreign trade and environment more coordinated.
