With the growing energy demand,heavy oil is expected to play a more important role in the petroleum industry because of its abundant reserves.However,heavy oil is with high viscosity and poor mobility due to the high content of asphaltine and resin,which restricts the development of heavy oil.Therefore,lowering the viscosity and improving the mobility of heavy oil is of vital significance to heavy oil transportation.Based on Bohai heavy oil,this paper has proved that the drag reducing result is ideal by mixing the producing heavy oil with nearby thin oil.According to the high condensation point of the mixed oil,the paper has screened out suitable pour point depressant.By settling down the oil emulsion and pipeline simulation with stirred tank device,the paper quantitatively measured and analyzed the effects of parameters such as moisture content,rotational speed,dosage,temperature and water salinity on the O/W emulsion's viscosity and stability.In addition,according to the selected O/W emulsion,the effective demulsifier and the best demulsification conditions were screened.The paper successfully selected an effective oil-based viscosity reducer from various reducers and the experimental data showed that using oil-based reducer alone cannot meet the field requirement for viscosity reduction,so it's suggested that this method should be used with other methods together.Meanwhile,this paper has analyzed the drag reducing mechanism with molecular simulation.
