| Rotating stream tray separator(RSTS)is widely used in the desulfurization and denitration industry today.Though it has experienced several decades of development,the researches about the RSTS are not too much and most of them are based on the traditional structure,the optimization and improvement of the structure are few.In view of this situation,this paper is mainly devoted to the research on the structure optimization of RSTS.Firstly,the rotating stream tray separator in the experiment of literature[1]is set as model in this paper.The numerical simulation method is used to simulate the flow field and separation performance,the results reveal the development of flow field and efficiency of separation,which are in good agreement with experimental data in the literature,and the accuracy of the simulation model is also verified.Secondly,the cold model experiment of the single-passage rotating stream tray separator was carried out.The effects of inlet gas velocity and spray density on the separation performance were investigated.The results show that the gas velocity is the main factor affecting the separation efficiency and pressure drop,the spray density has little effect.With the increase of gas velocity,the separation efficiency and the pressure drop are increasing,but the separation efficiency decreases after the gas velocity reaches the maximum value of 3 m/s.At the same time,the numerical simulation results show that separation size of RSTS with traditional structure usually limits to 20μm.In the end,the structure improvement is carried out on the basis of the traditional rotating stream tray separator.And the structure with the air outlet and the structure of dual-passage rotating stream tray separator were put forward.Through analysis of numerical simulation,the velocity distribution graph reveals that pumping reduces the tangential velocity.At the same time,pumping can reduce the thickness of the liquid film on the wall.But overall,according to the efficiency curve,pumping reduce the separation efficiency.For the dual-passage rotating stream tray separator,experiment and simulation results show that the structure of dual-passage can effectively improve the separation efficiency,especially for the situation when the inlet velocity and the droplet size are small.At the same time,the pressure drop is almost as same as that of the single-passage rotating stream tray separator.Therefore,dual-passage rotating stream tray separator is a better structure. |
