As a key component of the roadheader,cutting unit is a mechanism which is used for cutting coal petrography directly and it includes cutting head,planetary reducer,cutting arm,cutting motor etc.Cutting motor drives cutting head to rotate by planetary reducer,picks of cutting head can cut and break coal petrography.Therefore,some factors such as stress and vibration conditions of the planetary gear reducer each component,cutting head shape design,picks arrangement design all have a directly influence on the work efficiency when roadheader cuts coal.A type of roadheader cutting unit is the research object of this topic,three-dimensional modeling software UG has been taken to build cutting unit parts,the picks have been made a rearrangement and their arrangement figure and the coal cutting figure has been drew by analyzing all parameters of cutting head.The result of picks rearrangement shows that coal of main cutting part petrography fragmentation is uniform and picks stress is equilibrium.Through the classic stress formulas which are measured by roadheader cutting the coal,the Matlab software has been used to draw the picks stress curves,which used as load torque.The load torque and the cutting head rated input rotational used as ADAMS dynamics simulation parameters when ADAMS is working.As a result,force diagrams of each part of cutting unit have been obtained.The secondary planet reducer of cutting unit has carried on a different integral format simulation and a rigid-flexible coupled simulation to verify the selecting integral format rationality of cutting unit ADAMS simulation,the results show that SI2 integral format is rational.Workbench software and classic ANSYS have been used to make an overall simulation,and the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of software analysis have been compared for getting the concrete stress distribution of cutting head key parts.Simultaneously the overall analysis method has been applied in the process of simulation and more accurate and reliable results have got.It provides a reliable method for this kind of research.According to fatigue analysis for the secondary planet reducer parts of cutting unit,the limits the fatigue life of key parts have worked out.The cutting force situation of cutting unit key parts,the displacement deformation and the fatigue life have been obtained by the modeling of roadheader cutting unit,rearranging of picks,the Adams dynamics simulation of cutting unit,the transient dynamics simulation and fatigue analysis through Workbench software and classic ANSYS,which lay a solid foundation to the study of the same kind of roadheader cutting unit.
