The main research object in this paper is the cutting head of the EBZ-255 roadheader. Through the analysis of the parameters distribution characteristics, kinematics analysis of pick and simulation of load on cutting head, performance of the EBZ-255 roadheader's cutting head is descriped.In this paper, firstly, the development and the existing problems of roadheaders at home and abroad are introduced,significance of the study of the cutting performance, is pointed out.3D model of the cutting head using tool Solidworks is set up base on the thorough research of the cutting head distributed parameter. Mathematical modes of picks trajectory in different work conditions, speed and acceleration equations are established and analysed using tool Matlab. Meanwhile, load on picks, cutting head and work institutions under working condition was analyzed and the mathematical model was established to reveals how the cutting process is influenced by the movement parameters. Scientific means and methods are provided to explore cutting efficiency of the cutting head; picks wear condition as well as the design and evaluation of the structure and cutting performance. At the same time, load on to picks transverse cutting coal rock when the load is simulated, get scraps thickness, cutting head speed, cut cutting arm swing speeds and section spacing to cut the influence of gear load curve. Through mapped cut picks of the kinematics and dynamics characteristic curve, reveals the cutting head transverse cutting performance and characteristics of kinematics and dynamics of variation, for design cutting head provide reliable reference later. The paper using Solidworks Simulation finite element analysis software for cutting head finite element analysis is carried out, get a single picks group in the load under the effect of stress concentration in the section of picks gear tooth tip and seat around the roots of place, its produce deformation and displacement is lesser, influence of transverse cutting performance analysis can be ignored, for simplified cutting head mechanical model, to improve individual cut teeth group stress condition and tooth shape of seat provides the basis.The above-mentioned analysis and research, the conclusion to determine EBZ-255 roadheader's picks space motion, load change rule, for cutting head each distribution parameter selection and cutting head of transverse cutting performance provides certain theoretical reference basis and method.
