Biodiesel is a common alternative to fossil fuels and renewable resources. In this study,straight-chain alkanes(C15?C18)prepared by hydrodeoxygenation of bio-diesel.It was hydrocracked using HT 3976 production of short-chain hydrocarbons.HT3976 catalyst uses US-SSY and amorphous silica-alumina as molecular sieves, tungsten nickel as hydrogenation components. The authours studied the the effects of reaction temperature, pressure, hydrogen to oil ratio,WHSV and other process parameters on the conversion rate of long-chain alkanes and the selectivity of kerosene. In the experiment, temperature is controlled from 240? to 350? pressure 0.5 to 6 MPa,hydrogen to oil ratio 1000:1 to 10000:1 and WHSV is 0.1 to 1.0h-1.Experimental results indicate that the reaction Temperature has great effect on the reaction rate and conversion.Higher temperature, causes cracking activity. The conversion of alkanes increases with the increasing of reaction pressure. The ratio of hydrogen to oil affects the reaction conversion rate also. However,WHSV has slightly effect on the ratio of kerosene to gasoline. The optimized reaction conditions is:250??280?,1.0MPA,the ratio of kerosene to gasoline reached 1.45 to 2.69.The results indicated that HT3976 is suitable for producing gasoline or middle distillate oils by hydrocracking of bio-hydrocarbons.
