This study analyzed and evaluated main pollutants,water quality,plankton status and trends on the basis of the water quality monitoring data of Ningxia section of Huanghe River and Shahu Lake aquatic germplasm resources protection area in 2011-2015,and to provide scientific reference for the protection of aquatic biological resources and water quality management and control in protected areas.The study results show:1.By using the single factor water quality identification index and the comprehensive water quality identification index,the main pollutants of Ningxia section of Huanghe River are Total Phosphorus,total nitrogen,mercury,volatile phenol,ammonia nitrogen and permanganate index.These six pollutants accounted for 58~67%.The overall water quality of Ningxia sections are II,II,III,II,III between 2011 and 2015.There are 4-7 pollutants exceed the standard.The main pollutants of Shahu Lake are permanganate index,total phosphorus,total nitrogen,mercury,ammonia nitrogen and dissolved oxygen.In addition to the dissolved oxygen,these five pollutants accounted for 51.3~62.1% of total pollutants.The overall water quality of Ningxia sections are II,II,III,II,III in just 5 years.There are 5-6 pollutants exceed the standard.2.The water quality of Huanghe River` Ningxia sections was evaluated as medium pollution with diversity index,the Shahu Lake was evaluated as medium pollution with diversity index in 2011-2015.3.The main pollutants and water quality changing trend were analyzed using spearman rank relational coefficient method,water pollution in the Ningxia section of Huanghe River showed a significant upward trend.The total nitrogen,ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus decreased and mercury,volatile phenol and potassium permanganate index increased in the six kinds of main pollutants.The density of algae showed a downward trend,and the biodiversity index showed an upward trend.Shahu water pollution increasing trend was not significant,five of the major pollutants,permanganate index,total nitrogen and mercury rising,ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus decreased.The density of zooplankton decreased significantly,and the diversity of phytoplankton decreased.4.Analysis of 6 sections in Ningxia section of the Huanghe River,5# Pingluo the Huanghe River bridge section of pollutant concentration is higher than that of the other section,mercury,permanganate index,volatile phenol increased in each section.The water quality of 5# section was the worst.The pollution of each section showed an upward trend,particularly 3#,5#and 6# section upward trend is significant.
