Booming transportation drives the rapid development of social economy. On one hand, transportation provides people with a more convenient lifestyle. On the other hand, the increasing number on people and vehicles leads to a series of environment issues such as Traffic noise and air pollution.Under this situation, positive development of transportation has become focus of the whole society. In the meanwhile, seeking coordinated and sustainable development between transportation and natural environment resources has been researched by many experts and scholars. In recent years, the infrastructure construction in Lanzhou has been continuously expanding and the transportation industry has developed rapidly. However, environmental problems such as traffic jams, traffic noise, and declining urban air quality caused by factors such as the popularity of automobiles and population growth are plaguing cities.development of.Therefore, achieving the sustainable development of transportation in Lanzhou is of great significance to the construction of the city.In this article, taking passenger transportation in Lanzhou as research object(transportation in the following context refers to passenger transportation),based on domestic and foreign research, this text utilizes ecological footprint model of transportation to measure ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of transportation in Lanzhou from 2010 to 2015:then analyze transportation sustainability in Lanzhou from ecological deficit and remainder perspectives, and analyze factors that influence ecological footprint of transportation in Lanzhou:in the end put forward some viable strategy on sustainable development of transportation in Lanzhou. The research shows:⑴As a whole,The ecological footprint of traffic is greater than the ecological capacity is in an unsustainable state of development.the ecological footprint of motor vehicles is on the gradual increase from 2010 to 2015 in a whole, and ecological footprint of transportation increases from 787330hm~2 in 2010 to 2003958 hm~2 in 2015,which has increased 150.52%;⑵As for motor vehicle type, ecological footprint of private car shares the highest ratio compared with other vehicles, and its annual average ratio is 54.6818%.Besides,private car also has high ratio of fossil energy footprint and pollution footprint;with respectively annual average ratio reaching 39.07%and 54.93%,which is much higher than other vehicles. For taxi and bus in the urban public transportation, their ecological footprint of general transportation is small, and fossil energy footprint and pollution footprint are also small among vehicles.⑶We find that ecological footprint of fossil energy is the highest, whose annual average ratio reaches 71.50%and pollution footprint comes second, with its annual average rate reaching 27.76%while ecological footprint of built-up area is the lowest, with its annual average ratio reaching 0.74%.⑷As for the change in transportation footprint, fossil energy and pollution footprint has dramatically changes, respectively with annual average ratio reaching up to 21.9023%and 18.5056%.With regard tothe fluctuation change in traffic pollution footprint, its footprint growth rate reaches to the highest in 2014 which is 29.1505%,and growth rate of built-up area footprint reaches the peak-24.6489%in 2013,but lowest rate is 11.4418%⑸As for factor that influence ecological footprint of transportation in Lanzhou,we come to an conclusion that social development is the first factor, second factor is technological development level and the third factor is urban construction.Through principal component analysis,we conclude that these three factors don’t influence each other, and each factor plays a role in ecological footprint changes. To transportation condition,we put forward the following suggestion from sustainable perspective:⑴Set up a green concept about carrying out transportation development;⑵Encourage and guide citizen to be on green travel;⑶Optimize and improve vehicle energy configuration and model type;⑷Restraint the use of private car in a proper method;⑸Propel perfection of intelligent transport system(ITS);⑹Build up an overall government green performance appraisal system. |
