In recent ten years,with the continuous progress of science and technology and the rapid development of economy,a series of environmental problems inevitably arise..Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)is a kind of environmental pollutants,which are widely distributed in honey and pumpkin seeds.It can harm human health.The residual problem of PAHs has been paid more and more attention in various countries.The detection of PAHs is of great significance to the import and export of honey and pumpkin in China.In this paper,based on the characteristics of honey and pumpkin kernel,a gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was established for the determination of PAHs in honey and pumpkin seeds.The main results are as follows:(1)For the honey sample whcih is rich in sugars and proteins,16 kinds of PAHs were extracted by deionized water with acetonitrile and purified by C18 solid phase extraction column to establish a gas chromatographic tandem m ass spectrometry(GC-MS/MS)method for the detection of PAHs in honey.Juj ube honey,Vitex negundo honey,acacia honey,milk vetch honey and eucalypt us honey were used as representative sample matrices to evaluate the performa nce of the method.The detection limits of 16 PAHs were all 0.6 μg/kg,and t he limit of quantification was 2.0 μg/kg.The spiked recovery experiments were performed at the spiked levels of 2.0 μg/kg,4.0 μg/kg and 20 μg/kg.The reco veries were ranged from 63.4% to 122% and relative standard deviations(RSD)were less than 16%.(2)For the pumpkin seed samples which are rich in fats and oils,being ex tracted by shaking extraction with acetonitrile: acetone(60:40,v/v),purified by the neutral alumina column and Fliorisil solid phase extraction column,qualita tive and quantitative analysise of five PAHs were determined by GC-MS/MS w ith multi-reaction ion monitoring model.The results showed that the detection l imits of the five PAHs in the pumpkin kernel matrix were all 0.6 g/kg and th e limit of quantification was 2.0 ug/kg.The average recoveries at 20 μg/kg,40μg/kg,and 100 μg/kg levels were ranged from 85% to 120% with RSD less than 10%.This method was used to detect five PAHs in the actual pumpkin k ernel samples,indicating that this method can meet the detection of five kinds of PAHs residue limits at home and abroad.
