In order to comprehensively explore the influence rules of sludge dewatering property conditioned by chemical conditioner and skeleton builders,and to provide basis for the collection of conditioners and skeleton builders in the future at the same time,the relationship between different components and dehydration rate and that between different form of skeleton builders and dehydration rate have been discussed in this paper.Sludge dehydration test conditioned by CTAB(cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide),CPAM cationic-type polyacrylamide,sawdust,rice husk char(RHC)and powdered coal ash(PCA)have been done in this research.Meanwhile,dehydration rate,the pH value,Zeta potential value,viscosity,protein content,carbohydrates content and COD value of sludge filtrate,and the osmotic coefficient and SEM of filter cakes have been measured at the same time,in order to explore their relation with dehydration rate.The results illustrate that:(1)All of the viscosity,protein content,carbohydrates content and COD value of sludge filtrate present positive correlation with dehydration rate.While,pH values and Zeta potential values present no correlation with dehydration rate.(2)Only a little separated organics and water are discharged from sludge when the sludge conditioned by chemical conditioners only because of the lack of pipelines,which need skeleton builders to provide pipelines and canals and lead more water flowing out of sludge.(3)The porosity in sludge cakes can be increased by the internal pore of skeleton builders and the channels made their rough surface.In addition,a varying degrees of layered structure can be found in it conditioned by different skeleton builders at the same time.The relationship between the amount of skeleton builders and the dehydration rate values present a positive correlation.Therefore,two new rules of dehydration of skeleton builder are put forward creatively to explain the unique dewatering behaviors: pipe network effect and interlayer channel effect.
