After decades of development,plastic profilehas been widely used in many fields.As a key ring of extrusion line,calibrating mouldplays a vital role.In order to improvetheefficiency of the design of the plastic profile calibrating mould and theprofilequality of the plastic profile,on the basis of the research and analyses of the key technologies of extrusion calibrating mould design,and a single melt hollow profile,CAD system of plastic profileextrusion calibrating mould based on UG are developed.And its cooling optimization design are carried out.The main research contents and results are as follows:1)The research status of the plastic profile and its extrusion calibrating mould are analyzed firstly in the paper.Then combining withtheactualproject,the structure of the plastic profile and its extrusion calibrating mould are researched.In view of the low design efficiency and other problems,the main train of thoughts and framework of the paper are given,acquiring the purpose of the thesis research: improve the efficiency of calibrating mould design,and profiles of uniform cooling.2)To solve the problem of complexstructure of calibrating mould and the low efficiency of design,the overall framework of the plastic profile CAD system calibrating mould based on UG is established,and thepartitionsoff corresponding module are settled.Combining withresearch emphasis,three important modulesbased on sketch grouping technique are mainly introduced: the module of cavity and length design of calibrating mould which adopts ruled surface modelling and semi-automatic section technology;the cooling system module which can generate and modify rapidly;interference check module which combine UG attributes with minimum distance algorithm.3)Appliedthe basic theory of heat transfer in the thesis,heat transfer model of the plasticprofile within the calibrating mould during cooling process is established.Combined with the established parameterized model,thermal-structure coupling analysis of plasticprofile within the calibrating mould during cooling process is done with ANSYS Workbench.Theresults show the uneven cooling of plasticprofile,and the structure of calibrating mould should been optimized.4)To solve the problem of plasticprofile cooling uniformity,combining with the results of finite element analysis,the cooling system and cavity of calibrating mouldare optimized.In addition,on the basis of thermal analysis result data,a method of the influence studies of the cooling factorsbased on orthogonal test method is put forward,which has guiding significanceof the design of the calibrating mould cooling factors.Research results have been appied practically,improving the efficiency of the calibrating mould design,and the methodsof optimization design improve the surface quality of profiles and the production efficiency.
