As a traditional product,cotton fabrics are widely loved by consumers,but some inherent shortcomings of cotton fabrics limit the scope of development and application as high-end products.Researchers are trying to improve or add to the relevant features,hoping to expand their reach to high-end applications.Increasing the added value of applied cotton products is the focus of today’s cotton products.As a natural and harmless "new green finishing agent",silk fibroin has attracted people’s interest and popularity.How to combine cotton products with silk fibroin is a subject worth studying.In this paper,the process and stability of silk fibroin treated cotton webbing were studied.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)Preparation of silk fibroin and its viscosity studyThe mulberry silk waste material is used as raw material,and the silk fibroin powder is obtained by removing impurities,refining,dissolving and drying,and is stored in a refrigerator for storage.The silk fibroin powder is formulated into a silk fibroin solution using polyethylene glycol as a crosslinking agent.The rheometer was used to test the variation of the viscosity of different concentrations of silk fibroin solution with the increase of standing time.The relationship between viscosity and time was constructed,which provided a certain experimental and theoretical basis for the post-treatment of cotton webbing.The results show that the viscosity of the silk fibroin solution decreases according to the increase of the standing time.At the initial stage of standing,the viscosity of the silk fibroin solution drops significantly.The longer the standing time,the slower the rate of viscosity drop.The higher the mass concentration of the silk fibroin solution,the more obvious this phenomenon becomes.(2)Study on silk-weaving process of cotton ribbon finishing by silk fibroin solutionIn this paper,the cotton ribbon was silk-treated by cotton silk ribbon soaking silkfibroin solution,and the weight gain rate of silk fibroin was used as the evaluation index.The main factors involved in the padding process are silk fibroin solution mass concentration,dip-padding temperature and padding pressure.The effects of three factors on the weight gain rate under a single factor were investigated separately,and appropriate experimental conditions were selected.According to the weight gain rate of the cotton webbing obtained after dip-padding of the cotton webbing,the concentration range of the silk fibroin solution,the dip-padding temperature and the dip-padding pressure selected by the single factor test are respectively 3%,5%,7%;60,70,80 ℃ and 0.2,0.3,0.4MPa.The three parameters of silk fibroin solution concentration,dip-padding temperature and dip-padding pressure were used as independent variables,and the weight gain rate was used as the index.The orthogonal test was carried out to obtain the optimal dip-padding process parameters of silk fibroin solution for cotton webbing.The appearance and elemental composition of the silked cotton webbing were characterized by FE-SEM,EDS,FT-IR and other test methods.The results showed that silk fibroin solution was prepared and padded on cotton webbing.The optimal dip-padding process parameters were obtained by orthogonal design.The concentration of silk fibroin solution was 7%,the dip-padding temperature was 80 °C,the dip-padding pressure was 0.2 MPa,and the weight gain rate was 13.58%.The degree of influence of the three factors is: silk fibroin solution mass concentration > dip-padding pressure > dip-padding temperature.The silked webbing was characterized by scanning electron microscopy,and the silk fibroin was not uniformly attached on the surface of the cotton webbing;the silk fibroin adhered not only to the surface of the cotton webbing but also to the gap between the cotton webbing fibers by padding.(3)Study on the stability of cotton ribbon after silkedThe silked cotton webbing was agitated by a stirrer(Simulate washing machine operation),and the mass residual ratio of silk fibroin under different stirring time was recorded,the water washing stability was examined,and the water washing stability of the cotton webbing under the dip-padding process and the dipping process was compared.The cotton webbing uses an ultrasonic cleaner to investigate the adhesion strength between the silk fibroin and the cotton webbing.The silking cotton webbing with better weight gain rate in the above dip-padding process test was taken to obtain the effect of silk fibroin solution concentration,dip-padding pressure and dip-padding temperature on the washing stability of silky cotton webbing relat-ionship.Three kinds of different heads(cotton webbing itself,Twill cotton tape and latex gloves)and two kinds of pressure simulated cotton webbing are used in the reciprocating flat grinding machine to improve the anti-friction stability in practical applications.Investigate whether the cotton webbing after silking meets the daily use needs.The results show that the padding treated cotton w-ebbing has better water washing stability and better than the impregnated cotto-n webbing.The water washing stability of the padding treated cotton webbing can basically meet the daily use requirements.However,it can be seen from the results of ultrasonic treatment that the adhesion between silk fibroin and cotton webbing is limited,and it is easy to be removed and decomposed under a large strong treatment.Combining the weight gain rate and the mass residual rate,the optimal process parameters for silk fibroin-impregnated silk fibroin ar-e: silk fibroin solution concentration7%,padding temperature 80℃,padding pressure 0.2MPa.This result is consis tent with the best process parameters obtained when the weight gain rate is only measured.After the silking,the anti-friction stability of the cotton webbing is good under the two kinds of grinding heads,which simulates self-friction and skin friction.In the friction between the simulated and the outer wear,the cotton webbing has a good anti-stiction performance after the silking.But basically can meet the daily use requirements.The above experimental results show that the optimal process parameters of the silk fibroin solution impregnated cotton webbing,as well as the silky cotton webbing have good water washing stability and anti-friction stability.Provide experimental r eference and theoretical basis for upgrading cotton products and increasing added value...
