Research On The Application Of Traditional Wooden Technology In Modern Jewelry

Traditional woodworking is the embodiment of Chinese wisdom.The design theme and processing technology of jewelry are the great wealth of national culture.With the development of the times and the introduction of western design ideas,the accumulation of excellent traditional culture is ignored by contemporary designers,and Chinese jewelry design tends to be mediocre.With the re-emphasis on Chinese elements in the world design circles,how to rely on traditional cultural elements to show creative charm,create design with national characteristics,and establish an international aesthetic awareness has become an urgent problem to be solved.From the point of view of design,this paper studies the traditional woodworking techniques and analyzes the problems.The origin,development,classification and technological characteristics of traditional woodworking techniques are studied by means of historical research,literature investigation and qualitative analysis.The ideological connotations of traditional woodworking techniques such as "conforming to the times,practicality-oriented","respecting nature,harmonious development" and "craftsman spirit" are refined.Through the analysis of the traditional view of creation,it is concluded that the design should be "unity of nature and man","emphasis on division of labor","standardization" and "unity of body and spirit".Through the investigation and market analysis of consumers,it is found that China’s huge population and low per capita jewelry consumption level provide a huge development prospects for the jewelry market.There are good breakthroughs in the development of quantity,variety,grade,or spiritual direction.Combining with the development trend of modern jewelry,the expression form of traditional woodwork in modern jewelry and the analysis of psychology and demand of modern consumers,this paper draws the idea of applying the excellent cultural connotation and technical means of traditional technology to modern product design by means of innovative materials,techniques,structures and spiritual transmission methods.In addition,looking for new design ideas and means ofinheritance,play a positive role in Revitalizing Traditional handicraft,improving the level and content of modern jewelry design,and promoting the development of modern jewelry manufacturing technology.The combination of traditional techniques and modern jewelry design can achieve a win-win situation,which also provides a meaningful reference for future practical work.
