Study On Xiamen Gulangyu Pie Packaging Design Based On Minnan Culture

Gulangyu pie is a traditional pastry in Xiamen.It is the memory of Xiamen people wandering in other places.Especially for overseas Chinese in Xiamen,Gulangyu pie is not only a kind of food,but also a kind of nostalgia that is hard to give up.However,there are still many problems in pie packaging,such as graphics,text,color,structure,materials and so on.The overall design can not well reflect the culture of southern Fujian.For many local foods with a long cultural history,there are almost similar problems.How to improve the material and spiritual functions of food packaging is still a topic worthy of discussion.Through the study on the formation and change of Gulangyu pie packaging,this paper draws a conclusion that in recent years,the society advocates rational use of resources,and the pie packaging in southern Fujian has also changed.However,the major direction is still dominated by traditional elements,festivity,prominent gift functions,the pie market has become more concentrated,gradually returning to the simple situation,standardized,characteristic packaging has become the mainstream.Traditional culture affects the packaging design of Gulangyu pie.The higher the degree of integration between southern Fujian culture and packaging,the more it can impress consumers.In the context of economic globalization,today’s pie packaging has introduced marine culture,which through traditional patterns and folk art to influence the display of connotation and packaging design.Only when Gulangyu pie is designed in accordance with the quality and connotation of commodities and constantly innovates to reflect the characteristics of the times,can it establish a unique brand image,improve the popularity and reputation of products,induce consumers to buy and promote product sales.At the end of the paper,according to my own opinions and the new understanding of Gulangyu pie culture and food packaging design in the process of research,I designed a set of Gulangyu pie brand recognition scheme,hoping to provide reference for follow-up research,so as to develop a packaging design system suitable for Southern Fujian,so that Gulangyu pie packaging system can be continuously improved.
