With the fiercer competition in iron and steel industry,BAOSTEEL is facing the challenge to form the core competitiveness in the market competition.Investment in the technological upgrade projects has been playing an active role in achieving the upgrade of products,and improving the competitive ability.In the process of the technological upgrade projects,the theory of project management has been widely applied,which also makes the management of the technological upgrade projects become more systematic and scientific.Schedule planning is very important in the project management,the reasonable project schedule plan and effective implementation of process control is an important factor in the success of the project.How to arrangement the schedule planning and ensure that the project is completed on schedule has become one of the most important job to the project manager.(1)It first introduces the background of adding IHF technical improvement project,then theoretical approaches and tools for schedule management in the project are introduced.(2)After that,project contents,organizational structure and goals are described,then the project characteristics and driving factors of progress are analyzed.In the next step,it develops the schedule plan for aluminum electrolysis unit manufacturing and installation projects,using the tool of network diagram and critical path establish the schedule planning,finalize project baseline plan after optimization and meet the project deadline.(3)Finally,it introduces project progress control process,sets possible problems,establishes progress monitoring and tracking system for project implementation process,analyzes the content and causes for schedule variance and timely correction measures,illustrates the method for schedule adjustment and puts forward the guarantee measures for progress control.Accroding to the using of combining theory and practice,the project schedule objectives can be ensuring.The text pay attention to the actual application process of the project schedule management theory and methods,focus on the combination of theory and practice.The experience has a certain reference value of the similar projects.
