The main function of the vertical looper is to store the strip to ensure continuous and stable operation of the continuous annealing line.Looper tension control will directly affect the normal operation of continuous annealing line and the quality of the strip product quality.In the continuous production process,maintaining a constant looper tension can effectively prevent strip breakage,stacking steel and strip deviation in the looper,and ensure the production efficiency of the continuous annealing line.Therefore,stability and accuracy of strip tension of vertical looper is the basic guarantee of product quality and production efficiency in the continuous annealing line.Based on continuous annealing line for a cold rolling mill,the vertical loop-type looper is taken as the research object.With deep understanding of the composition and process of the vertical looper,the model is deduced based on the idea of mechanism modeling.Because the tension control requirements of the looper in the synchronous operation stage and dynamic charging and discharging stage are different,different control methods are used to control the different stages to improve the tension control effect.In the looper dynamic charging and discharging stage,a variety of tension losses are brought about due to the acceleration,speed and position change of the looper car,therefore,the moment of inertia compensation,mechanical loss compensation and strip weight compensation should be added to the tension control system.In view of the fact that the parameters of the dynamic tension model vary widely and the parameters of the conventional PID controller can't be adjusted adaptively according to the variation of the controlled object parameters,therefore neural network technology combined with PID control is proposed.After that,Single neuron adaptive PID controller with adaptive ability is adopted to control the looper tension system.At last,the control performance of single-neuron self-adaptive PID controller with looper tension is analyzed by MATLAB simulation of tension control system.It is proved that the single-neuron adaptive PID controller has better ability of fast follow-up and anti-jamming,and when the parameter of the controlled object changes,the single neuron adaptive PID controller shows good self-adaptability,and the dynamic performance of looper tension control system can be greatly improved.
