Chlorinated polyethylene(CPE)is a kind of polymer prepared by substitution reaction of polyethylene with chlorine,and its properties vary with the degree of chlorination.When the chlorine content is 30?45%,it appears as the rubber elastomer called chlorinated polyethylene rubber(CM).Because of its excellent elastic and mechanical properties,CM can be used as special rubber with high performance and high quality,and can not only be mixed with other rubber,but also be foamed.The foaming material of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA)is widely used in sole materials because of its light specific gravity,but its mechanical properties are poor,and the foaming materials are easy to deform.In this research,CM and EVA were mixed and foamed in order to explore the feasibility and characteristics of chlorinated polyethylene rubber used in sole foaming material.And to obtain a kind of low cost and simple preparation process of rubber foaming shoe materials,with the purpose of laid a foundation for the development of sole materials with good quality and excellent performance.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing the literature about chlorinated polyethylene rubber foaming,and combining with the production process of foamed material in relative industry,the formulation and foaming process conditions of CM/EVA compound foaming material were studied.The physical and mechanical properties of foamed sheet were tested and its morphology was analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).And then the properties of two composite foamed materials of CM/EVA and POE/EVA were conducted comparative research on the basis of the optimum preparation conditions.The specific contents and results of the study are as follows.(1)Effect of different technology and formula conditions on the properties of CM/EVA composite foaming material was conducted.When the chlorinated polyethylene rubber(CM)and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA)were resurrected,the optimum reaction temperature was 175 ?,the suitable content foaming agent(azodicarbonamide,AC)was 1.5 phr,and the best dosage of vulcanizing agent(DCP)was 1.0 phr.The composite cannot be foamed successfully without foaming agent added.With the increase of the foaming agent dosage,the balance torque time decreased gradually.The change of the compound ratio had little effect on the vulcanization characteristic of the system.The scanning electron microscope analysis shows that the foam sheet is made under the appropriate ratio of EVA to CM.The pore of the composite foaming material is fine,and the dispersion of CM in EVA is ideal.CM and EVA have a better complex.Under the best formula and process conditions,the composite foam material with the best comprehensive properties can be prepared by molding foaming.The performance wear resistance was 155 mm and the wet skating performance was 1.05 in the research.(2)The properties of CM/EVA composite foamed material and POE/EVA composite foamed material were compared.Adding the same proportion of CM and POE in EVA,the foamed sheets were prepared under their suitable formula and process conditions respectively.The results of physical and mechanical properties analysis show that CM-EVA composite foamed material has advantages in skid resistance,resilience,compression and wear resistance,compared to POE/EVA foaming materials.SEM analysis shows that the addition of CM or POE could effectively improve the foaming of EVA,but the dispersing effect of POE in EVA is not as good as that of CM.In this study,CM/EVA foaming material was successfully prepared,which indicated that chlorinated polyethylene rubber could be directly used in the production of foaming material of sole.
