As a new type of riveting technology,electromagnetic riveting has the characteristics of fast loading rate and uniform interference.It has been widely used in aerospace and other fields.In foreign countries,the electromagnetic riveting equipment has realized the handheld,and achieved great economic benefits.At home,the research on electromagnetic riveting technology is not perfect,which leads to the disadvantages of slow charging speed,low energy efficiency and heavy rivet gun in the developed handheld electromagnetic riveting equipment.In this paper,the method of circuit simulation,numerical solution and experiment is used to carry out a more systematic research on handheld electromagnetic riveting equipment based on the analysis of charging circuit,discharge circuit and control system.In the charge circuit analysis,based on the constant current charge,the influence of different connection modes on the capacitor charging time,capacitor voltage distribution,and discharge current amplitude was studied through theoretical derivation and circuit simulation.The research results show that the use of constant current charging can achieve rapid charging and meet the design requirements.Compared with parallel charging of capacitors,multiple capacitors in series can easily cause uneven voltage distribution;the capacitor group uses two series and then four groups of parallel connections.Charging can more effectively shorten the charging time of the capacitor group,can increase the discharge current rise rate and discharge current amplitude,and then improve the energy efficiency of the device.In discharge circuit analysis,with coaxial double ring coil structure as the basic unit,forming coil is established by using the method of accumulative sum and driving copper overall mutual inductance value equation and discharge circuit parameter equation,and with the help of the measured values to modify the model and numerical solution.The research results show that improve the discharge voltage,which is beneficial to increasing the electromagnetic force,forming within the coil wire width of axial and radial width in 5~15 mm and 1~1.5 mm range change,electromagnetic force first increases then decreases.The parameters of the riveting gun are obtained by artificial fish swarm algorithm:rxw=25mm,ax=0.9mm,bx=10mm,bc=7mm,K=5.1×104N·m-1,Cd=180N·s·m-1 and mrz=1.2kg,then according to the optimized parameters,to design the structure of the handheld electromagnetic riveting gun is carried out.In the control system analysis,PLC is used as the main control element of equipment,and the touch screen is selected as the man-machine interface.Separately on the basis of the function of equipment needed for the overall control system hardware and software of the equipment type selection and design,and implementation of the PLC and the constant current charging power supply free port communication and external circuit control,reach the purpose of the handheld electromagnetic riveting equipment visual control.On the basis of the design will carry on the processing and assembly,the parts on the handheld electromagnetic riveting equipment overall debugging,the results show that using constant current charging a single charge time is less than 6s,can realize a minute 10 riveting;The weight of the riveting gun is 2.75kg,which is easy to hold.Within 500V,the riveting of dimaeter 6mm A11040 rivet can be realized,and the riveting of diameter 8mm A11040 rivet can be realized under 700V.
