Nuclear energy is recognized as one of the clean energy sources that can replace fossil energy on a large scale.Nuclear safety is the lifeline for the development of nuclear energy, which has been elevated to a national strategy in China.Nuclear emergency is the last line of defense for nuclear safety, and the radiation hazard after a nuclear accident cannot be ignored based on the lessons from the historical accidents such as Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear accident.Nuclear emergency decision is usually made on the basis of integrated data and realized by visual means, which would be conducive to the emergency response capability.A GIS-based visualization system for nuclear emergency decision-making was designed and developed to achieve visualizing radiation field,to rugulize multi-user collaborative mapping and to digitalize emergency protection actions. The details are as follows:(1)A series of multi-information fusion and display technologies were developed to provide visual support for intelligent decision-making of nuclear emergency.A hierarchical model was proposed to get the multilevel layers for the authenticity of dynamic radiation field visualization. An information digitalized method was developed to formulate the urgent protective action planning zones and to assist decision-making.A regularization scheme was realized by considering the functions and needs of multi-personnel to support the collaborative mapping.(2)A GIS-based visualization system for nuclear emergency decision-making was designed and developed. It was equipped with a multi-source heterogeneous database to manage complex data, and provided with four functions that can assist decision-making based on the above visualization technologies, including radiation field simulation, urgent protective action planning zones formulation,decision-making evaluation, and multi-user collaborative mapping.(3)The preliminary application of the system in nuclear emergency decision-making has been analyzed and a typical case has been demonstrated. The application scenarios in nuclear emergency include accident deduction,multi-user collaborative mapping, zoning of urgent protective actions and decision making. The typical case has shown the implementation of the above based on the visualization methods. This work has shown that based on the GIS technologies to develop nuclear emergency decision-making visualization system is helpful for the visual display and analysis of the emergency rescue, and also can be the technical support for nuclear emergency daily drill. |
