Customized Wardrobe Design Based On Family Life Cycle

As the storage area of clothes in the family,the customized wardrobe has a key impact on the quality of family life.Reasonable design of the customized wardrobe storage can solve the pain points of family life and improve the living comfort of family members."Family"is the most basic and active element in the social system.According to the theory of the family life cycle,family has its own process of emergence,development and natural end,which is a dynamic structure of continuous development and reflects the changes of family members.In a family,the physiological and psychological needs of family members will change with the development of the family.These changes will directly affect the functional needs of family members for the customized wardrobes.,thus affecting the specific design content of customized wardrobes.Taking the changes of family members as a research link,family life cycle theory and customized wardrobe design can be linked.The main contents of the paper are as follows:According to the theory of family life cycle,the paper establishes a life cycle model of Chinese family based on the relevant theoretical model,which can reflect the characteristics of Chinese family development and changes.This model divides the life cycle of Chinese family into six stages:the single stage,the newly married and childless stage,the parenting stage,the education stage and the middle age stage of children leaving home,and the old age stage;Obtaining the functional requirements of the customized wardrobes of consumers in each family life cycle stage through questionnaire and household survey.After analysis,the change of demand for the customized wardrobes in Chinese family life cycle is divided into four periods:the single period(the single youth stage),the new marriage period(the newly married and childless stage),the growing period(the parenting stage,the education stage,the middle aged stage of children leaving home)and the old age period(the old age stage);Using the method of modular design,the customized wardrobe is divided into sub-module,unit-cabinet module and top-cabinet module through the induction and analysis of storage mode and size of wardrobe underwear.According to the different needs of the customized wardrobe in the four periods above,the reasonable combination of modules is carried out to solve the problem of the customized wardrobe design in different stages of family life cycle;At the end of the paper,it discusses the changeability of the module adapting to the family life cycle,and changes the function of the module by adjusting the sub-modules,which is used in the design case.By applying the theory of family life cycle to the design of customized wardrobes,the functional requirements of the customized wardrobes at different stages can be refined,and the changes of functional requirements of customized wardrobes by family members in different stages of family development are analyzed emphatically.Through the reasonable combination and collocation of customized wardrobe modules and the changes of modules,a more targeted and flexible customized wardrobe is designed to meet the functional requirements of consumers at different stages of customization wardrobe.This paper can provide a set of the customized wardrobe design reference to the wardrobe industry to,but also can enable furniture enterprises to consumer demand as a starting point to develop more targeted marketing strategies.
