Welding pool forming is the key of welding quality research.The dynamic behavior of welding pool is determined directly by the change of welding parameters.The rotary arc sensor welding brings many new characteristics due to welding wire rotation.Therefore,the dynamic characteristics of welding pool need to be studied.First of all,according to the theory of fluid analysis,the simulation models of GMAW flat surfacing welding and rotating arc sensor flat surfacing welding are established in FLOW-3D software.In this paper,the three-dimensional dynamic forming characteristics of GWAM plain welding short-circuit transition pool are studied,and the influence of directional and non-directional heat sources on the forming characteristics of welding process is studied,and the temperature field and flow field distribution are obtained.It is found that the high temperature area spreads from the center of heat source to the surrounding low temperature area during the forming process of GWAM flat welding short transition pool,and the liquid metal activity decreases with the decrease of temperature;The dip angle of the heat source directly affects the position of the high temperature area inside the melting pool.The temperature is high and the liquid metal is active,causing the depth of the melting pool here to exceed the low temperature area.The bottom boundary of the melting pool is irregular arc surface.Secondly,the three-dimensional dynamic forming values of the rotating arc welding short circuit transition pool are calculated,the temperature field and flow field distribution are obtained,and the three-dimensional forming values of rotating arc welding are calculated at different rotation frequencies.The effects of rotation frequency on welding 3D melting pool forming and the high quality range of rotation frequency are obtained by comparing and analyzing the temperature variation and liquid metal flow variation in the process of forming molten pool.Finally,the test platform for rotating arc welding is established,the specific parameters of equipment and workpiece material Q235-A are determined during the test process,and the welding test of the rotating frequency as a single variable is carried out.The cross section of the test pool is compared with the section of the simulated pool.The simulation model is proved to be reasonable.The analysis results provide a basis for further evaluation and improvement of the FEM welding model.
