Risk Analysis Of Laos Mining Industry Attracting Chinese Investment

Laos’economic development is relatively backward,and resources such as capital and technology restrict the growth of the domestic economy.Therefore,the introduction of foreign capital has become an important part of Laos’strategic development.As a neighboring country of Laos,China has good historical exchanges and rich mineral resources in Laos,attracting a large amount of Chinese investment.The mining industry is a pillar industry of Laos.In the country’s strategic development planning and international competition,mineral resources Development and control have considerable practical significance.As the largest source of foreign investment iin the Lao mining industry,China’s investment has brought huge economic benefits to Laos,and it also poses potential risks to Laos’national interests and financial security.This paper studies the current situation,motivation and existing risks of the introduction of Chinese investment in the Lao mining industry,and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the existing risk problems,which has profound practical significance for the sustainable development of Laos mining industry.This paper firstly sorts out relevant research literatures at home and abroad,explores possible innovations based on summarizing and summarizing existing research results,analyzes the motivation of Laos mining industry to introduce Chinese investment,and analyzes the risks it brings to Laos.It mainly analyzes the five aspects of national interest risk,financial security risk,potential risk of mining monopoly by foreign enterprises,risk of impact on Lao local mining enterprises and mine environmental protection risk,and further explores the characteristics of risk generation.The root cause is that the local government has insufficient understanding of the introduction of foreign capital,the relevant legislation of the Lao government to introduce and manage foreign capital is not perfect,the blindness of local governments to introduce foreign capital in China and the insufficient supervision of foreign capital,the weak competitiveness of Lao local mining enterprises and the Chinese part.The investment enterprises lacked industry self-discipline and social responsibility;secondly,using case analysis,the Laos mining industry introduced the Chinese investment project-the color copper copper mine project as an example to analyze the basic situation of the project,the Lao government Motivation and risk of introducing investment Estimates,and summarize their experience in risk management and control;Finally,according to the research results,the introduction of venture investment in China’s mining industry for Laos to start,put forward countermeasures and suggestions to optimize the introduction of Chinese investment fr-om both the Lao government,the Lao domestic enterprises.
