Sofa production operation not only influences enterprises' production efficiency, but also influences the production level of sofa wooden frame, which directly decides the function and quality of sofa.Based on the research of sofa production time, this research focuses on optimizing the design of connection joint in sofa wooden frame, studying how to optimize it from production efficiency, material cost and mechanical properties and other perspectives. Finally,it comes to the following conclusions:1.Through the collection and analysis of sofa production times, the bottleneck process in sofa production has been found out before the simulation and optimization of it by Flexsim software. After preliminary optimization, the output has increased by 107.14%,while the balance rate of production line has grown from 69.03%to 84.54%,with the balance of production line improving from poor to good and the nailing frame process becoming the new bottleneck process.2.Through the study of the working time of frame nailing, the time of positioning has been found out to account for 35.1%in frame nailing in average.Long positioning time is a common problem in sofa frame nailing process. To optimize the structural design,it is proposed to adopt tenon-and-mortise structure to reduce the positioning time, increase production efficiency and make sofa production more balanced and efficient.3.The comparative study of using tenon-and-mortise structure to optimize the design of existing connection nodes can be summarized as follows:(1)In production operation, after the structure optimization, the positioning time and the working time of nailing frame are reduced by 51.14%and 19.39%respectively.Compared with the initial state, the final optimized result shows an output increase of 178.57%.The whole production line has become more balanced, orderly and efficient, with the balance rate improving from 69.03%to 94.31%,a poor to excellent development.(2)In the mechanical properties of the joints, the estimation equation of the maximum dead load in T-joints and the number of nails can be derived as:y=611.922ŚN0.449.Compared with the structure before optimization, the maximum static load in tension and shear of armrest joints has grew by 6.24%and 109.10%after optimization, and these of backrest joints has increased by 9.73%and 21.52%.Tension strength of tenon-and-mortise structure is slightly better than directly nailed joints, while its shear strength and bending strength are much better.(3)In material cost, after structure optimization, the cost of batten and plywood has decreased by 52.08%and 1.55%respectively,the total cost of wooden frame has dropped by 17.4%.
