The forward osmosis membrane bioreactor(OMBR)is a kind of new treatment technology which was applied forward osmosis technology to the membrane bioreactor. In this paper, the OMBR was used to treat the typical antibiotic wastewater.First, the influence of orientation, the type and concentration of draw solution and the concentration of sewage and sludge on the membrane flux have been investigated. The experimental results showed that:the magnesium chloride solution with high osmotic pressure is advantageous for OMBR due to its superior membrane flux and a great product water quality and the membrane flux decreases with a rise of the concentration of sewage and sludge. When the concentration of sewage is lower and the concentration of sludge is higher, the forward osmosis membrane bioreactor can get a better product water quality. The best concentration of sludge, norfloxacin, sewage and draw solution is 3000 mg/L,2 mg/L,2000 mg/L and 1.6 mol/L respectively. In this condition, the removal rate of COD and norfloxacin is 84.21%and 93.70%.Membrane fouling is one of the main factors affecting the membrane separation technology which is widely applied.A typical experiment selected inorganic contaminants, organic contaminants, colloids and solid contaminants and microbial contaminants in the process of forward osmosis membrane fouling behavior was studied preliminarily discussed the mechanism of forward osmosis membrane fouling process of single and compound pollutants. The results showed that:For the single pollution, pollution contaminants typical inorganic membrane according to a small order of large silica, calcium sulfate dihydrate, anhydrous magnesium sulfate.Organic pollution for forward osmosis process was studied by taking sodium alginate, bovine albumin and humic acid as simulated substance for polysaccharides, proteins and humus and other typical organic pollutants.Membrane contamination in accordance with the order of large to small alginate, humic acid, bovine albumin;between flux curve for complex pollution, combined pollution flux balance of two pollutants single contamination and pollution in accordance with the large membrane sodium alginate/humic acid, sodium alginate/bovine albumin, humic acid/bovine albumin, presence of contaminants between the two composite synergy small order.
