As a key component of automobile transmission system,constant velocity universal joint bears the torque load of the vehicle when it works.Ball cage channel grinding machine is a special processing equipment for grinding elliptical arc channel of starlike inner race,which is an important part of constant velocity universal joint.The research on its processing accuracy and efficiency has a far-reaching impact on the development of machine tool industry and automobile manufacturing industry.Based on multi-body system theory,this dissertation described the topological structure of the ball cage channel grinding machine with lower numbered body array and established the geometric error model of machine tool,the sensitivity coefficients of various errors were calculated by matrix differential method,and the influence degree of each error source on the spatial error of the machine tool was obtained,which provided a theoretical reference for the accuracy allocation and even the structural design of the machine tool.The tool path was generated by UG,and the NC processing program was obtained by post-processing.Then,the machining process of starlike inner race arc channel is simulated by VERICUT software.The arc channels processed by simulation were compared with the design drawings,and the errors in the depth direction of arc channel were obtained when machining arc channel;Based on the generated tool path and NC program,it is concluded that the positioning accuracy of feed system is an important factor affecting the accuracy of channel processing.On this basis,the main factors affecting the positioning accuracy of the feed system were analyzed,which provided a reference for the design and improvement of feed system;Based on the above research,the scheme of grinding the starlike inner race with a new grinding wheel was proposed.The grinding wheel design was carried out and the spatial layout of the machine tool was designed.The error obtained by simulation turned out to be smaller than before,theoretically proving that the scheme is effective.The geometric error model,simulation method of machining process,positioning accuracy analysis method and grinding wheel design analysis method established in this paper provide useful reference for the accuracy design of machine tools.
