LNG storage tank is one of the important equipment of LNG storage and transportation, with the development of LNG industry and the increase of demand for LNG storage tank to the large-scale development is becoming a development trend of large LNG storage tank belongs to the atmospheric pressure low temperature storage, high storage efficiency, less investment, easy to operate, manage and store the advantages of easy to large scale.Taking LNG storage tanks with a capacity of1.6×10~5m~3as the research object, this paper selects 9%Ni steel as the inner tank material by comparing the performance of several LNG inner tanks’commonly used construction materials, and calculates the design thickness of various parts of the tank wall, tank bottom and tank top according to their size parameters, and selects and designs reasonable tank bottom typo structure, tank top structure and pipe structure. At the same time, according to the design of the cooling protection structure, the heat leakage at the bottom, the heat leakage at the wall and the heat leakage at the roof of the LNG storage tank were calculated respectively. In addition, the calculation of the daily evaporation rate and allowable heat loss of the storage tank shows that the cooling structure meets the design requirements.Using simulation software ANSYS Workbench tank on tank roof, walls and bottom of the inner pot wall static field and temperature field simulation, the tank wall in half empty cans, cans, cans and full under the action of gravity stress field distribution and the tank bottom, wall and roof temperature field distribution and static field simulation result shows that in half empty cans, cans, cans full hydraulic and under the condition of gravity, the stress of jars of wall in LNG change that increases with the increase of hydraulic; As for the internal tank strain, the steel plate deformation of the first layer of tank wall is basically zero due to the fixed restraint of the tank foundation. And since the static pressure of the liquid column in the tank has a lateral effect on the tank wall, the steel plate of the tank wall begins to deform from bottom to top and from inside to outside. The maximum deformation is several layers of steel plate of the tank wall at the bottom. As the static pressure of the liquid column decreases in the top layers of the steel plate of the tank wall, the deformation decreases gradually until there is no static pressure of the liquid column at the top,and the deformation is zero. The simulated analysis results of temperature field show that the roof of LNG storage tank has the largest heat leakage and the lowest thermal insulation performance.Different ambient temperatures have a certain impact on the cooling performance of the main parts of the storage tank. The temperature curve along the thickness shows that the ambient temperature has a great impact on the roof of the storage tank.
