After a long-term water injection,Wangguantun oilfield's flooding is serious, the remaining oil distribution is highly fragmented, single well production rate is low and water cut is high up to87.2%.But part of reserves of Wangguantun oilfield has not been well described, some blocks adopt a lower level,oil-bearing strata more in the longitudinal direction, complex structures, local injection patterns imperfect. Therefore,we need to carry out reservoir description of Wangguantun oilfield again,in order to implement the reservoir structure and reservoir relativity accurately, describe the remaining oil quantitatively, compile adjustment scheme,to improve the development effectiveness of reservoirs. This paper describes the main problems and factors for improving Wang guantun oilfeild development.Drilling,logging,mud-logging and test data were all used and detailed correlation and structural interpretations were made to make clear structural configurations.Further delineation of the structures, reservoirs, deposition of the sub-layers were carried out and involved in evaluations on reserves.A 3D visualized geological model was then established.Lab data and production and injection performance data were input into the model for numerical simulation to derive remaining oil distribution. After development efficacy and match between well pattern and the layers had been evaluated, the program was prepared. At last the modified well pattern was proposed with sidetrack and infill drilling to tap the oil remaining in the reservoirs, conducted a comprehensive research of remaining oil, residual oil distribution analysis and control, proposes a reasonable comprehensive adjustment program for stable production oilfield provide technical support.
