A Case Study On The Risk And Its Management Of Conch Group Co.,Ltd.'s Greenfield Investment

Since the reform and opening-up policy,China has experienced a rapid development stage.The global economic impact on China's economy is increasingly obvious.In recent years,the continuous improvement of the free trade area construction,the policy of “One Belt and One Road” shows that our country is expanding the degree of communicating with the global market.In such an environment,internationalization road became the issues of thinking to the domestic enterprises.In our country,the cement industry is a industry overcapacity,the Conch Group as the leading enterprises of the cement industry in our country,its green strategic investment from overseas can become the new ideas for development of the industries with excess capacity in the enterprise.Based on the study of conch group,this paper analyzes the case of its greenfield investment activities in southeast Asia.At first,this paper introduces the general situation of the cement industry group and the company,the basic situation of its development course,in detail elaborated the greenfield investment strategy selection and implementation process,and in the process of implementation of risk management measures.On the basis of this,the paper focuses on the various risks of greenfield investment,mainly political risk,environmental risk,exchange rate risk and strategic risk.The risk management measures adopted in this paper are evaluated and the risk management is discussed.Finally,from the case of greenfield investment risk management,Conch Group can be reference for other enterprises with some revelation:(1)The multi-angle experienced investment risk management measures;(2)Pay attention to the training of high-precision talents;(3)Raise awareness of social environmental protection;(4)Constantly shaping the good image of the enterprise and expanding friendly international cooperation.In this paper,a large number of related literatures are referenced in the process of writing,and the cases are analyzed in depth by theoretical knowledge such as investment strategy and risk management.
