| Due to global awareness of environmental degradation, the strengthening of government legislation and the shortage of natural resources, businesses and academic world have turned their attention to the remanufacturing of second-hand products in closed-loop supply chains.Remanufacturing is an effective method, which can reduce the environmental burden, save resources, and reduce production costs.Considering the limitations of markets and business strategy, such as the lack of advantage in recycling waste product, remanufactured products’ cannibalism on new products, and the expensive investment in fixed cost of remanufacturing, many OEMs choose to outsource remanufacturing to other agents rather than remanufacture themselves. This paper studies the best OEM’s outsourcing strategy for remanufacturing when both distributors and independent third-party remanufacturers are capable of remanufacturing.Along with the outsourcing of remanufacturing business, patent authorization can effectively protect OEM’s product patents from infringement,at the same time,it can help OEM earn profit and restrain the cannibalism of remanufactured products on new products. Therefore, this method has been widely used by OEM to authorize other manufacturers to produce remanufactured products. With the development of psychological theories, many researches have gradually taken consumer psychology as a factor which can influence decision-making and analyze the impact of consumers’ willingness to purchase on decision-making.This paper studies the optimal decision of closed-loop supply chain considering these factors. The specific work is mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)we study the decision-making of closed-loop supply chain when consumers have no preference for several types of products in the market. Two single-period closed-loop supply chain models consisting of an OEM,a distributor or a third-party remanufacturer is established.By solving the optimal decision of each member of the supply chain in the two models,we obtain the equilibrium solution of models and carry out the sensitivity analysis and comparative analysis.(2)we study the decision-making of closed-loop supply chain when consumers have preferences for several types of products in the market. We establish three single-cycle closed-loop supply chain models consisting of an OEM,a distributor or a third-party remanufacturer, which include two single remanufacturing models and one mixed remanufacturing model. Then we obtain the equilibrium solutions by solving the profit function of each supply chain member in the three models, and discuss the relationship between decision variables and the two types of consumers’ preference coefficients by sensitivity analysis, then draw the conclusions by comparing three models.(3)We apply the two models proposed in the above parts to a real enterprise and verify the inferences, which can provide strategies and management enlightenment for the real enterprise. |
