As one of the five disasters in the normal production process of coal mine,dust has been a serious threat to the physical and mental health of underground workers safe and efficient production of coal mines.Therefore,it has become one of the key tasks in daily management of coal mine to adopt a variety of effective methods to reduce the dust concentration in the coal mine.This paper is based on the return air roadyway of the 28 mining area of Zhangcun coal mine in Lu’an group of Shanxi Province,the return air roadway of the 28 mining area belongs to the comprehensive mechanized driving roadway.This paper presents the method of dust separation and collection of air curtain,and discusses the related jet flow theory and the structural characteristics of the dust separation and collection device based on air curtain dust separation and collection system.This paper adopts the method of theoretical research and numerical simulation,after discussing the basic theory of dust separation and collection of air curtain,based on the FLUENT software,numerical simulation was carried out on the flow field and dust field under the condition of air curtain in the return air roadway of the 28 mining area and under normal long pressure short extraction condition.The simulation result shows that:(1)Under the condition of the air curtain,the dust concentration in the return air roadway of the 28 mining area is high near the working position of the driver of the comprehensive tunneling machine,the farther away from the dust source,the lower the concentration of dust,and the distribution of dust in the middle and upper part of the roadway;(2)The air curtain will form a wind barrier in the front of the comprehensive tunneling machine,which will prevent the dust from being generated during the operation of the comprehensive tunneling machine driver.Compared with the ordinary long pressure and short pumping ventilation,the air curtain has a better control effect on the high concentration of dust in the return air roadway of the 28 mining area;(3)The control variable is used to keep the other conditions of relevant to the air curtain unchanged,in turn,numerical optimization is carried out for the diameter of the outlet,the negative pressure of the extraction ventilator and the diameter of the extraction ventilator of the air curtain dust separation and collection device.By comparing the result of numerical simulation,the conclusion is draw,the optimum outlet width of the air curtain is 25 mm,the optimum extraction negative pressure of the extractive duct is-350 Pa,and the optimum diameter of the extraction duct is 600 mm.The study of dust separation and collection method has a remarkable effect on the dust control of the comprehensive mechanized heading face,it is helpful for the prevention and control of mine dust in the future,and the development prospect of dust separation and collection is better,the research results of this thesis are also widely promoted.
