Study On The Idea Of Ecological Civilization Construction Of Socialism With Chinese Characteristics

From Building Ecological Civilization which is clearly put forward for the first time in the report to the 17 th CPC National Congress,to the report of 18 th CPC National Congress where ecological civilization was made to be one of the integral components of the development strategy for Chinese socialism,then to the report to the 19 th CPC National Congress where "adhering to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature" was regarded as the basic strategy of adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,taking "beauty" together with "prosperity,democracy,civility and harmony" as the important aim of a great modern socialist country,we can fully understand the importance of the Party’s constantly highlighting the construction of ecological civilization.Therefore,earnestly studying and deeply analyzing the thought of building socialist ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics have an important significance for speeding up the construction of beautiful China and promoting to form a new pattern of harmonious development of modernization between man and nature.In the process of developing Western countries into an industrial society,there are some ecological and environmental problems,such as resource exhaustion,air pollution and water pollution,making the ecological environment gradually deteriorated into a global problem.Especially,the horrific "Eight Public Hazards Events" represented by the London Smoke Event made people realize that their existence and development were threatened,which triggered the environmental protection movement in Western countries.From then on,the urgency of ecological environment protection was thought highly of by the world.In June 1972,the first United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was held in Stockholm,Sweden where Declaration on the Human Environment was adopted,which means environmental protection has been improved from civil action to government behavior.China sent a delegation to the conference and expressed its positive support.In the rapid economic development of our country,there are also some ecologicalenvironment problems such as air pollution,shortage of resources and so on.How to coordinate the relationship between economic development and ecological environmental protection has become a major issue which our country is facing.Starting from the overall situation of realizing the sustainable development of the Chinese nation and mankind,under the guidance of Marxist ecological thought on the relationship between man and nature,the CPC absorbed the ecological wisdom of Chinese traditional culture and proceeded from China’s reality,put forward a series of viewpoints of ecological civilization construction including "sustainable development strategy" and "green development concept",which formed the thought of building ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics.Generally speaking,the Party adheres to the development concept of coordinating economic development with environmental protection,adopts measures of resource conservation,environmental protection and ecological governance,and relies on the methods of science and technology and rule of law.It has the characteristics of scientificity,popularity,practicality and epoch.It has enriched and developed Marxist ecological thought and enriched the overall layout of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.In practice,it leads the construction of beautiful China and provides China’s wisdom and China’s plan for global ecological governance.
