The automobile synchronous belt is an important transmission part in the automobile engine timing transmission system,which tooth size parameters have a direct influence on the meshing of synchronous belt teeth,transmission noise and service life.Therefore,in order to ensure the products quality of automobile synchronous belt,it is necessary to detect the tooth size parameters of automobile synchronous belt.At present,the common tooth profile detection methods have the problems of low detection efficiency,great influence by human factors,only suitable for spot checking and so on,which restrict the quality improvement of synchronous belt products of our country.Through the analysis of the common measuring methods for the tooth profile parameters of automobile synchronous belt and based on the measuring methods for the structural dimensions of mechanical parts in industrial production,a non-contact measuring scheme for the tooth profile of automobile synchronous belt was proposed based on laser triangulation method.According to the non-contact synchronous belt tooth profile measurement scheme,a tooth profile measurement device for automobile synchronous belt was designed,which takes tooth profile measurement system,main transmission system and tension exertion system as key components.The control system and software measurement operation interface of the device were designed,and the systematic errors of the device were analyzed.Aiming at the tooth profile data of automobile synchronous belt collected by laser displacement sensor,a scheme of obtaining tooth profile parameters formed by data preprocessing,feature points extraction,data separation and contour segment fitting were proposed.Based on the improved algorithm of slope difference feature point extraction,the feature points of ZA synchronous belt tooth profile are extracted and segmented,which improves the accuracy of tooth profile feature point extraction and data separation.Comparing the measurement results of ZA type synchronous belt tooth profile parameters by the tooth profile device designed in this paper with those of commercial electron microscope,the accuracy and rapidity of the measurement results of the tooth profile device designed in this paper are verified.The automobile synchronous belt tooth profile measuring device been developed in this paper has the advantages of fast measurement speed,accurate and reliable of measurement results.The development of this device is of great significance to improve the tooth profile accuracy of automobile synchronous belt of domestic and to reduce vibration and noise in transmission process.
